Kaz from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. And I'm not sure, but I think Henry from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Chaol from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. And there's also Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. Those last four examples, from what criticisms I've read, have shitty rep and a lot of ppl aren't happy with them. The last two are also contemporary romances, not fantasy YA.

The 100 Prediction Game

Oh man, @kay-emm-gee tagged me and I’m a little overwhelmed but hERE WE GO

Romance:

Bellarke kiss: doubtful, no matter how much I’d love to think different. The most I can hope for is an actual fucking recognition of feelings oh my god. This could be possible, though, if s4 ends up being the last.

Octavia love interest: It would be gross and not good and so I can kinda imagine JRoth doing it? or am I just being petty

Ice Mechanic romance: I reaaally don’t think so, but I would be down for Roan to be fascinated by her a la Tormund with Brienne on GoT

Rasper romance: Again, doubtful. Wow, things on the romantic front are not lookin good, are they?

Kabby get married/proposal in some form: I don’t think that’s super important to either of them?

Clarke will fall in love with one of the new characters: I hope to god they know better than that

Monty/Harper will stay together for the season: Ooooh, tough one. Maybe? It depends how much time they devote to it. Ironically, if it becomes a more major plot thing, that’s when I’ll be worried for them.

Miller/Bryan will stay together for the season: Yep

John/Emori will stay together for the season: Yep

Minty romance will come up like Cinderella to take the prize: I don’t think they’ll break up Briller for that

Other- Write down other romance related plots you predict will happen: I’m kind of hoping this won’t be a major source of plot in s4? Maybe that’s naive. On the other hand, I’d never though of it but @kay-em-gee​‘s idea of Roan/Luna is FIRE.

Deaths:

1. Kane dies: At this point I doubt it, he’s tried to sacrifice himself so many times but the show refuses to let him die

2. Abby dies:  No

3. Echo dies: Almost certainly

4. Bryan dies: No

5. Jaha dies: I WISH

6. Luna dies: Hmmm I’d say yes but late in the season.

7. Indra dies: They better fucking not

8. Other- Write down names who haven’t been mentioned:

Gonna go with a risky one and say Octavia? Given the path she’s headed down it’s possible, although honestly that might be too dark a turn.

Plot - Who is initially on Team “Fight” / “Give Up”?

1. Clarke: Fight

2. Bellamy: Considering where he is at the end of s3, I’d say fight

3. Raven: Fight

4. Jasper: Give up/embrace their fate. I think as soon as he hears what’s coming he will throw in the towel, but Monty may be able to bring him around

5. Monty: He could be too weary at this point tbh, but I still wanna say fight

6. Kane: Fight

7. Abby: Fight

8. Roan: Fight

9. Luna: She’ll die to protect what’s hers, so fight

10. Jackson: Fight

11. Octavia: Indifference, then fight.

12. Murphy: Definitely fight, although a curveball could be that he takes on the “it’s the end of the world so let’s party like it’s...the end of the world” stance, but Emori will bring him around

13. Harper: Fight, always

14. Miller: Fight

15. Other- Name another character, not yet mentioned, who will have a strong stance one way or the other critical to the plot: If Indra changes her mind (from what I assume will be fight), that could have major consequences

Plot - Miscellaneous :

1. Roan becomes the new leader of the grounders: Could be, although it seems like the idea of a unified Grounder leadership has been breaking down

2. Luna becomes the new leader of the grounders: I’d say extremely unlikely, given that they would see her leaving as “weakness”

3. Bellamy will be willing to give up his spot of the “lifeboats” for someone more “worthy”: Um, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t do this. It is completely in line with his character.

4. They will either: Find/given the boats or build their own? I think if they are given the boats, they won’t work and they’ll have to build their own. That seems to be a classic move of the show--finding they can’t rely on others’ help to get them through.

5. One of the missions is to shut down a nuclear plant and they manage to do so? I say yes because it’s JRoth’s favorite kind of set up--give Clarke a lever to pull!!11!

6. Are we going to see any historical landmarks? (bonus for guessing which ones) It’d be cool if they traveled as far as former New York and we saw some NYC landmarks like the Chrysler Building or the Statue of Liberty (although that second one may be too cliche)

7. Other- Write down a plot scenario not mentioned which you think will happen:

The Ice Nation assassin group that attacked Mt. Weather (and killed Gina, grrrr) will come into play (1) because of Octavia’s teased storyline and (2) because a group whose main purpose is to cause death in such a cold, bloodthirsty way would be an interesting foil during a season in which ‘saving humankind’ and ‘who is worth saving’ are the main themes.

Plot - Bellarke:

1. Will Bellamy cut Clarke’s hair? No.

2. Will Bellarke share another hug? Definitely

3. Will Bellamy say “I need you” in some form to Clarke? If he does, it’ll be in the context of some newer revelation, since this is not a new sentiment.

4. Will we get a shirtless Bellamy and Clarke staring at him? No, I don’t think so.

5. Will both either get on the lifeboats or stay behind? I can definitely see them both going the same way, for sure. It would also be totally typical for one of them to want to self-sacrifice and the other refusing to let them stay behind alone.

6. Will either of them open up about their feelings to someone else? If Yes, to whom? I don’t see either of them volunteering that information with anyone else. I agree with Kayla that it’s more likely for other people to bring it up with them, Raven being the most outspoken possibility.

7. Other- Write down a Bellarke scenario not mentioned which you think will happen:

I think (or more accurately would really, really like) that Clarke will talk to Bellamy about Octavia. There’s no one else he would even let offer an opinion about her to him, so I’m not saying she will convince him of anything he doesn’t already think or concerns he doesn’t already have, but it could be an important step to him confronting Octavia and them working out their dysfunctional relationship.

I’M SORRY I was just looking at him and thinking about how much he must, as the adult he’s become, look back with such regret at the choices he made regarding his relationship with Rory and how every time he sees her, he’s just reminded even more of how much he destroyed his chances irrevocably based on something he did over 10 years ago and hERE I GO I’M RANTING AGAIN
