who’s the big and little spoon?

totally depends - they’re both pretty tall and have a lot of limb™ so they kind of get wrapped up in each other and it’s a fight to see who’ll come out as the little spoon in the end. Anders usually wins.

what kind of nicknames do they call each other?

ooh ok, so I hc the Ander language as being an analogue for German, but because I can, I sprinkle some Slavic-inspired elements in there too, so Anders actually has numerous diminutives that he calls Hawke. Her full name’s Marian, so it ranges from stuff like Marishenka and Marishka to Masha (which is the one he calls her most often).

Ri likes to call him Andy, because he lowkey hates it.

What was their first impression of each other?

They were pretty judgemental of each other - Ri couldn’t understand why Anders couldn’t let go of the past and only protect himself, like she was trying to. Until everything with Karl and until she learns more about him, at least.

Anders, meanwhile, sees a mage who’s more interested in bettering her family and her own personal situation than helping other people like her. So not exactly great.

Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

Nope! Ri has a pretty solid relationship with a girl back in Lothering, until the Blight happens and everything goes to shit, then Anders has Karl and god knows how many other people he got with in the Circle or on his Warden adventures prior to/post Karl.

What’s their height difference? Age difference?

Anders is a string bean man (I hc him like 6′2″??) but Ri’s around 6 ft, so there’s barely anything in it. Age-wise, I have absolutely no clue how old Anders is meant to be, but he’s gotta be like around 28 in act 1, right?? so three or four years (Ri’s 24 when the Blight starts!)

Who said “I love you” first?

Anders, because he’s a dumb pining romantic bastard man. And because Ri refuses to voice any iota of feeling until she’s entirely overwhelmed (or hideously drunk), then everything kind of comes out all at once. she’s a mess!! I am projecting!!

If they get married, who proposes?

I haven’t actually decided if they get married, but my heart says Ri would actually propose as a joke when she’s had a few too many, but then would wake up the next morning and realise that she actually meant it and that that’s it, this is the person she’ll marry. Anders doesn’t think she wants to get married, so is very surprised.

who felt romantic feelings first?

I want to say Anders, but it’s probably Hawke, as she falls in love pretty easily - but she’d be like ‘absolutely not!! this is just friendship!! friends feel this way about other friends all the time!!’

what was their first kiss like?

I actually have a fic planned out about this (a prequel to this is how the light gets in) so I don’t want to give too much away, but wine, books and deep meaningful (drunken) conversations are involved, and it’s a surprise for both of them...
