does bailey see a future for her and rian? what does it look like?
she does! she’s not always sure exactly what that future looks like, but she does see one. she knows it’s not going to be easy, and she tries to be realistic but still somewhat optimistic. she likes to envision a future where they get out of town and make a life somewhere else, away from all the fighting and the violence. she doesn’t expect to ever have all the things she grew up with, but she likes to picture them doing better than getting by. a modest, if a little small, home, maybe one or two little ones running around, rian working in a shop or a garage or something, and she can wait tables or if they end up in a big city maybe she can model clothes or something. she likes to picture rian being able to come home from work to dinner being ready in the kitchen and her with a baby or a toddler on her hip waiting to welcome him home with a kiss.
on the harder days, she’ll remind herself that even if she has to give up everything and join him on the other side of the tracks and they spend their lives struggling to get by, it’ll still be worth it just to be with him.
