Ric Converse & Chiva Kid vs. Xsiris & Chet Sterling - CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
Ric Converse & Chiva Kid vs. Xsiris & Chet Sterling (3/16/13)
I'm trying to get myself into watching more US indies, which thanks to the Internet and organizations having official YouTube pages, is a lot easier than in the past.
CWF Mid-Atlantic is a group with a well-maintained page, that first drew my attention due to being the primary base of Chiva Kid. Like many people, I found out about Chiva due to his performance at National Pro Wrestling Day (which I read about, not watched yet). Hiis name brought me here and I look forward to learning more about this fed.
Anyway, this tag was a fun introduction for me to CWF M-A. Chiva Kid starts with a beautiful tope con hilo in the first seconds of the match. After some offense from the Converse/Chiva side, Chiva then works a nice, long FIP segment which was very well done. Chiva takes some good bumps.
I also enjoyed Xsiris and look forward to more of him. He had some nice focused offense on Chiva's back (which Kid was selling big for) and there was an awesome moment when Chiva gets the hot tag on Converse; when Ric goes for the usual face punch knockdown spot, Xsiris ducks and slides out of the ring avoiding it. Thankfully Chet comes in to take one, so as not to make the hot tag look foolish--and eventually Xsiris comes back in and gets his--but I thought it was pretty funny (and smart) as I saw it.
A quick 12 minutes, but a good tag match that will have me watching more CWF Mid-Atlantic.
National Pro Wrestling Day is killing! The Afternoon show ruled. Arik Royal & Chiva Kid vs. Ric Converse & Trevor Lee from CWF and Bolt Brady vs. Surfer Mitch vs. ACH vs. Lukas Sharp (especially when it came down to ACH and Surfer Mitch going 1 on 1) all destroyed. 7pm, get here quick!
