Good cop, bad cop
We can never paint everyone with the same brush
I know that there are many dedicated police officers
Those who took their oath to protect and serve seriously
The ones in SAPS where this is not just a job, but a career and that you wear your uniform with honour
That you are motivated and report for work every day with a plan and a desire to make a difference
That you are under pressure, because the same spotlight of scrutiny shines on you
To me you are in fact the brightest lights out there; proving that there is still justice to be served
I know that some of you as parents, have to worry about the abuse your children may have to deal with because their Mommy and/or Daddy are the public's "enemy"
I salute you and thank you for your service....
I have been at the receiving end of the actions of a good cop when I was wrong
I know there are many others like him that do not attack our dignity and take the time to speak and explain things to you peacefully
Ones that will always try to solve a problem
Good cops with strong values, that regard the communities they work in as theirs, serving and not hurting us
Ones that are role models
I sincerely believe that the good cops feel our pain, that they give their best at all times and sometimes with a lack of resources or proper support
Ones who need to go back to the same areas where gangsters might target them for being a good cop
Again, I salute you and I thank you... the true enforcers of the law.
Please continue to stand for and with the people
Please continue protect us from all criminals even the ones wearing the same uniform as you
As long as there are still officers like you there will be hope for the justice we seek
I am appauled by what is a problem created by the rest
Those who made the same pledge to serve their communities, but don't
Those that were supposed to be a light at the end of a dark tunnel of crime
Those who were supposed to be the lifeline that we could depend on
Those criminals with Government benefits
Those legally weaponized murderers and thieves giving the entire system a bad reputation
How many horrific acts will you still do? When will your brutality end?
When will your lust for destruction be satisfied?
I've been at the receiving end of the actions of a Bad Cop too, I remember being robbed as a young boy and I reported this, but you just laughed it off
We've all had or heard of experiences where our calls were met with no response
How many more victims need to be humiliated when they deal with you?
How much longer will you abuse the power you have been given?
There's a report of roughly 5000 police officers exiting the force and my fear is that these are all the good cops
I fear that one day we will have to deal with the remains when the good ones leave, I Dredd it... imagine a police force that is 100% corrupt
Evilotion of the force
I read another report of 500+ people dying at the hands of police. 500!!! These are not statistics! it is madness!!!
I hope our good cops find a way to keep on fighting through all this, to always know that as much as we may be angry, we know and see you; the Good ones. Our expressions may be tough at times, but we know and see you and the good you do
There's no single solution, but I know you are needed to win this war
To the Bad cops...
Please find it in your heart and soul to do the task you have CHOSEN to do, to protect and serve or LEAVE.... Please... We can't anymore, we just can't
