Some of the things that hold Eros and Richard's relationship together:

Richard's belief that Eros is a woman and nothing else

Richard's refusal to break up/divorce

Eros having some amount of influence on Richard, which he refuses to acknowledge.

Okayyyyyyy when I first made Richard, at the tender age of 14(?) I had given him 1 (one trait) and that was he's a massive dick (hence the name Richard, hah) and he was the reason why Charles is the way he is.

i.e. why Charles is the villain, his motivation, his purpose, etc.

And that was supposed to be the end of it. Just some cartoonish evil guy to point to for the story's problems...

BUT NOW he's got some nuance because I've grown and so has he as a character. Now he's got more to him other than "Evil", and now he himself has motivations other than ego (but that's still a big part of it dbjsjfc) he's still intact I feel, like his place in the story doesn't change, but now he's more grounded.

Richard Encaum: late king of the Encaum Empire, just kind of a terrible person all around

Cassidy Encaum: late queen of the Encaum Empire, at least one of her sons is safe somewhere else

Viola Oremshe: appointed knight of the Royal City of Hilenes, she trained long and hard for her title

Jack Jennamay: general of the Hilenes army, (name pending) has made a career of pushing back the forces of dark magic

BTW, if Richard's parents didn't deny him agency and acceptance there's still a good chance he'd be doing conquest.

But like, in a family loving way.

See, one of the many differences between Charles and Richard is; when their wife puts them on a leash, Charles is mature enough to recognize he likes it VS Richard, would have to be muzzled next because he starts biting

Speaking of Richard,

In the main AU where he marries Eros and has Kane, Richard starts single. Eros was his first serious relationship (he's had one night stands, and the occasional tyrst but no other girlfriends or wives previously)

There is a variation of this ^ where he already has Cassidy and Charles (around 9) and literally ditches them for Eros. It's just called DeadBeat!Richard AU

which is soooo funny to me because Ferdinand (Charles' half brother through Cassidy) is still out there also

Richard fits!! He usually is just wearing his armor so if you take that away, he's got other options.

Concept: Chuck e Cheese AU

Richard: CEO but hes just personally vicious, unhinged and still a super villain but he runs a childrens resturaunt

Charles: wears the mascot costume, forced to work the minimum position to ""build character""

Ferdinand: runs the franchise and actually enjoys his job hosting parties for kids

Alice: University buisness classmates with charles, she has No Idea where he works
