Yo, what if Ferdinand simply saved Wilfried from Veronica? Like right after the boy was born, he managed to get him first and therefore ruined that hag's plans? He raises his own nephew and allows his parents be with him. Wilfried would be better, and not ruined by a loathed old woman.

I have been having these thoughts in mind that they took Veronica into imprisoment very early and then, Wilfried was not her puppet.
