Death comes to us all. There is absolutely no escaping it. But you hope that you and your loved ones can push it off for as long as possible. And you hope it’s quick and painless. This Christmas, if you have them with you and around you, hug them and enjoy their company. —•— The last few weeks this holidays season have been incredibly hard for my dearest friend in the world. I did not know this was possible to be done, which is tantamount to euthanasia. This has to be the worst thing to have to sit and do to your loved one. To administer poison to kill your mother between you and your sister and watch her fade away is beyond a strength I think I will ever possess. Or at least I can hope to never find out. It’s been hard enough dealing with this daily as a friend from a distance. I cannot imagine the strength this takes.
