I had someone moved away or was transferred somewhere. But there was a restaurant/general store. It was the only one around for miles and miles. All the county folk went here for everything. So naturally the owner was super rich. I was a server and there were always weird requests and situations. And the strangest produce sold ever. I remember going through corn stalks and huge spiders had been fuzed in and around them. They were dead but who the hell would buy corn stalks with spiders on them?! And they weren't little garden spiders they were furry, looking things.
I went to my boss's house once and was in awe. The guest house (which was like several hopes connected. Not on the outside but one the inside, you flowed continuously from one kitchen/bedroom/living space to the next. Their house was even more magnificent (duh). The next day we (there was a group of us) returned to the house to get tax stuff or something? And all of the house was empty. The doorknobs had been taken off so no one could get in. There were other workers there too. The owner up and fled. Took his money and ran. Some us still broke in and wandered around the empty place looking for something of value, which there was none. Now that the house was empty it was even bigger, and colder. There was a cement floor throughout the whole house because it was cheaper than tile. He cut corners to save even more money. Greedy bastard.
