Richcanon
Richard loves playing Kingdom Hearts.
[For Rich:] Guardian, Loss. [For Jim:] Illusion, Damage.
Prompt: Put a word in my ask and I’ll write a headcanon for it.
Richard
GuardianRichard had a hard time standing up to their parents as a child, Jim often taking the stand, especially against their father. He often relied on his brother for protection. That being said, Richard also has a strong draw towards animals. He rescued a lot of injured animals or strays, keeping them hidden in a tool shed near their house until he could find a safe place where they could go.
LossRichard had one actual “pet” in his childhood was a white canary named Gail. When he was six his father decided it was a suitable punishment to grab Gail out of her cage and squeeze until she snapped. Richard never let an animal near his father again.
James
IllusionJim lives his life surrounding himself in illusions. He’s good at creating them, being able to convince someone one thing then when they know it’s something completely different. He can put on any mask and make it believable, even fooling the great Sherlock Holmes. James even fools himself, denying any emotions he could possibly feel for someone. He makes himself and everyone else believe he doesn’t have to capacity to feel.
DamageJim is damage. He feels it and he deals it. His skin is blemish free, but he still has plenty of emotional scars, most of which stem from his parents. He was slapped around by his father, taking the heat off of Richard as a child. They were both bullied in school. The emotional detachment from his mother and the emotional abuse from his father eventually caused Jim to crack. His first kill was his father when he was eight.
