"You brought him in... so you look after him."
It was what she was told when she had gotten the man into the community. "I couldn't just let him die out there." She had told her leader. The man clearly had been hurt, and if the walkers even smelled his blood they would've torn him to shreds.
"I know you didn't get bit, buy you have a serious cut and you should let me bandage it up." Her expression softened as he gave him, chuckling softly. It was like a mountain she had been trying to climb, getting him to trust her even for just a little bit. Maybe he was just annoyed with her so much he figured if he let her look at him she'd leave him alone. Either way, she saw it as a victory.
Sitting in front of him, she reached gently to the cut on his face. Wiping it with some antiseptic. "Sorry, this is going to sting." She spoke gently. "It may need a couple of stitches. Now, I will admit I'm more of a cook but I was taught to sew up a wound if you trust me. Otherwise I can go the doctor." But considering it took a while for him to get her to look at him, she wondered if he'd let another stranger take a look.
