Part of the reason for that John Wayne Gacy joke was that one of the things my comic is discussing is overtly homoerotic images of guys involving pain or death or even gore, so naturally to that end I've been doing a lot of sexy dying/dead Saint Sebastian drawings. Is it really so weird to say that some guys are just hotter dead? I mean, I guess if you want to be a big old prude about it...

The thing about drawing digitally for me is that it allows me to go in super close and get small details right, which is important for a drawing like this where the head is kind of small and I want to get a particular expression other than just "smiling" or whatever. Maybe I'm just not good enough to do it on paper, but either way I like the results more on these drawings I'm redoing. Now that I've been drawing digitally for over a year, I'm also going back to my older digital drawings and redoing those... this second one here looked OK before, but I really kind of just stopped before I was finished. But I'm not just going to keep redrawing old work forever, by the way...
