Neena sat at the table outside, closing her eyes and enjoying the sun and perhaps one of the last few days of warmth before they entered a truly chilly autumn. She had a coffee in front of her, her usual from whenever she stopped by the cafe not far from her condo. But today she wasn't researching or working on a new episode. She was waiting for Ricky. Of course she saw more of him through Nicole from the moment her friend started dating the man, but she had grown up with Ricky her whole life due to her family's closeness to the Thompsons. She knew he was in the halfway house, and when she reached out to him to visit to see how he was doing, he insisted meeting her for coffee somewhere else. So, Neena suggested Fresh Tracks and he agreed. Hearing footsteps, she opened her eyes and peaked through her expensive sunglasses and burst into a giant grin upon seeing Ricky. "You made it! What do you want? It's on me."
