Even if they didn’t, they used a photo of Michonne on her knees during one of her darkest moments, not something hopeful.

Well I explained why I do actually think that photo and that moment showcases her "warrior-ness" BUT the other thing about the new promo pics is weird. I didn't realize everyone else had a new pic but I looked back and you're right. And the weird thing is, I would think there's a plan for how they roll this stuff out so it is JUST REALLY WEIRD that they would use an old photo for her.

It does! I mean, clearly gimple thought so if it was important enough for him to mention weeks before the finale aired. If anything, that scene is there just to highlight how strong rick and michonne’s relationship is. I don’t know why people have to jump immediately to love triangle lol
