Gimme plot for ur oc story please 🥺🌱

🥺👉👈  AH  so basically the story mainly follows Orion Palmer-Reyes who was coming back from his grandfathers funeral, his grandfather left a few things in his will for Orion one including this big old radio and some cryptic notes and books and a tape recorder. The radio made sense because his grandfather used to run a radio show and loved radios in general but the tape recorder and other stuff made less sense. So while driving back to his apartment from his grandfathers funeral suddenly the radio in his car flickers to life and they suddenly hear this weird weird radio show start to play and their talking about weird shit like about teeth and making disturbing commands and calling randomly on ‘listeners’ the Radio host almost called on them before they accidentally got distracted and crashed into a tree, the radio turned off instantly and Orion is like: ?????????? 

Later when they got home to their apartment they sat in bed for a good while thinking about the show before getting up and doing some research, they searched a lot of random shit but the most they came up with was one obscure forum they had never heard about asking if anyone else had, had this experience and it looked to be like 10 years old, they decided to go to his town library and looked through the newspaper archives and

 found a few articles about a woman named Christina Rivera, a scientist who had purposed a theory very similar to what Orion had experienced a few days ago, however she had vanished a few years back and on further examination he saw that she had apparently been responsible for an explosion at a lab in a few years back and hadn't been seen since and most of her theories had been discounted, but she had still managed to gain funding through unknown sources. 

 the beginning of  story is mostly Orion, and their friend Ricky trying to figure out where they could find Rivera and if they could potentially salvage some of her research and figure out what this ‘station’ is, they also start to open interviews with those who claimed to have heard the station and begin to gather their own information about what it is

Later as the story goes on they realize its more supernatural then just, some creepy dude on radio show, as they, try to find and approach Rivera’s old lab assistant, but instead meet Static, who seems to know some about the old laboratory explosion but nothing about Rivera and takes them to the half decimated building and they find a bunch of old tapes and research recordings done by Rivera and her old lab assistant Jordan Peters 

They then encounter [REDACTED] through one of these old boxes of research tapes, as they scare the shit out of Orion upon them fixing the old recorder 

Then Sofia gets involved when they meet Static as she's a journalist working for a local newspaper, with a lot of knowledge about the company that Static works for and is interested in trying to expose the corp for the excessive amount of corruption that either goes, un-talked about or forgotten. She meets Orion and Ricky when she comes to them in an interview about the station as she had an experience with it and believes Mr.A owner of the corporation shes been investigating is involved.

I WILL AND ILY UHDSIGHFDG PART 2 LETS TRY THIS AGAIN 

I really want to talk about part two a lot because Ive talked a lot about the set up and the basic idea of the Station and Carol and Jeff but I dont really talk about how it all comes together and stuff!! I wont be super detailed because i am constantly in a state of ‘i will make this a story someday so I shouldnt tell people everything’ and the constant need to tell everyone everything about the story.

Basically stuff happens when Orion and crew finally locate the station. Orion wants to talk the station out of doing what its doing (forcing people to like :// relive trauma, generally tormenting innocent people and occasionally make them like explode or smthing fuihfg it very much depends on the fear, on the guilt u know. Like one time a caller called in and answer a few questions before sing/screaming until she just ceased. So like some fucked up shit happens when the station goes on air. 

Whereas Ricky and Sofia and basically everyone else agreed the only way to stop the station is to like destroy it. The crew ends up getting separated in the station and like set of to part two stuff happens, Static runs into Mr. A he plants seeds of doubt,

The big thing that happens is Radio, tries to ‘feed’ Orion to the station in an attempt to have him replace them as the radio host. Orion pulls away and Redacted bursts in before the walls of the station could like full submerge Orion and like saves them. like when i say a bunch of stuff happens i MEAN a bunch of stuff happens including radios corporeal form being torn apart, Carol and Jeff trying to trap Orion in a closet of ‘puppets’ and in the end the station being ‘destroyed’  despite orion having stopped Ricky from stabbing its heart LIKE WHIUEUIFDGGH A LOT OF STUFF HAPPENS. But in the end they blow up the stations physical place and because of this redacted whos tape recorder had been destroyed earlier in part 1 leaving them trapped on Orions side with a very fragile tether between the realities, is thrown violently back into the In Between. 

Part 2 deals with most people believing Redacted is gone, Orion pretending they dont care because they feel guilty for feeling bad and attempting time and time again to bring Redacted back. Also carol comes back and fucks with him, and instead of like Orion chasing the entities/monsters/the station its the other way around because now their the only physical remains of the station (they have eye scars running up the arms that Radio had pinned them to the wall with as it like tried to eat them ://) and Orions chasing after the belief that Redacted is simply trapped on the other side so their trying to pry their way back into the in between. 

They do end up doing it and Ricky, Sofia and Static come with him. And this is where most of the In Between lore comes in and we learn about REDACTEDS past. and Mr. A becomes the MAIN antagonist as before he was like a big bad in the background more than the forefront he’s actively trying to capture redacted in the in between in order to lure Orion to him so he can control the last remaining piece of the station. Oh yeah also Static rejoins Mr.A :( not forever just briefly because after the head scientist dies he tries to paint it as if he had no idea of what was happening to Static

VALENTINE... i LOVE a "forced roomates/living together bc its necessary and found friendship" trope grabs you ands shakes you . How does orion feel abt static and sofias friendship if they even know

WAH,,, 👉👈 LITERALLY FAVORITE TROPE EVER,,,, 

Orion totally knows because they room with Ricky so like they come home from a long day of not doing their actual job and interviewing people about mysterious radio station, and sees this 6′5 haphazardly stitched up man sitting on his couch and their like calls out: RICKY 

Orion doesn't really like Static a lot, mostly because of their unclear association with the Lab accident that happened in 2009 that resulted in Rivera's disappearance. Along with Jordan Peterson completely vanishing and static being like: Oh yeah! I was there for that lab accident i don't remember why though!!! Sets off Orion’s fight or flight reflexes (because kisses him i love him and hes valid for not realizing Jordan and Static are the same person but 😔😔)

Also they do have the tendency to do some less then legal science in their kitchen. 

Orion has little to no connection with Sofia besides knowing that she and Ricky are friends, and that earlier that year Sofia had come to give her peace on The Station and their own experiences with it. but that changes when they start spending more time at the apartment and Orion realizes they have similar goals, and that Sofia is very nice and cool and hes a little nervous about how close they are to this very tall, mysterious, could be working against them, man.

But like Orion and static learn to trust each other over the course of the events and when Orion puts two and two together their like: oh, uh oh

i keep thinking i have questions abt dead air but all that comes up is NOTHING so tell me abt who u think is the most underrated character u have hahoo 👀

Ricky and Static seem to be the most underrated which is a CRIME because I literally love them both so much (i need to draw ricky more :((() 

So Ricky (she/her bisexual) 

she's Orion's childhood friend!! they’ve been friends since 8th grade and they used to hang out with each other a lot!!!! and they both ended up going to the same college after they had graduated so they’re like: super close. Ricky works at a bookstore/café off the highway and Orion's a teacher assistant, so he tends to like either hang out with her after or before his finished for the day!

 She's trying to get a degree psychology but also kind of wants to be a gym teacher, she's on the girls basketball team and has done sports all throughout middle school and high school. so she's like REALLY good at volleyball, tennis, weight lifting!! She also took fencing for like 4 years. Shes also pretty good at cooking which she 100% picked up from her father. Very important fact she gets a sword later on in Dead Air, 

she and Orion are roommates and so when he comes back with an old as radio shes like ????? they also used to date! but like. a long time ago like freshman-sophomore year of high school and they decided mutually they were better as friends.

Static (he/they Ace Queer) 

 They used to work with another scientist but after an accident resulted in the person they had been the lab assistant for ‘dying’ they were transferred to a lab funded exclusively by Mr. A 

(Mr.A + some setting lore: funds a lot of scientific research in the town this takes place in, also this all takes place in a like. small city/town? like its not super big and a lot of people know each other but it still has a downtown area that's rather large but a lot of it is spread out,)

They work as an intern (which was a huge downgrade from their last job and they knew they were capable of more) for awhile there but slowly over time begin to realize: “hey actually its ass to work here and these some kind of bad shit happening behind the scenes i think i will leave now” 

Well apparently the contract they signed bound them to the job rather tightly and just as they were about to leave were presented with a promotion and offered something more then a paid internship. They were given the opportunity to work with the head scientist, and they. took it. 

and then a lot of really really bad shit happens to them 😔😔 and they apparently had ties to someone named Jordan Peterson which is why Orion and crew comes looking at facility for someone who had known Christina Rivera. But they are just a funky little scientist trying to vibe,, and bad shit just keeps happening

10: what are some of their talents/skills 

Ricky is literally just: good at sports, she was on the tennis team and girls basketball team when her and Orion were at high school together. She won a good chunk of the singles games!! She was also pretty good at playing the clarinet but she mostly took band in high school so she’d have more classes with Orion!!
