I want you to know that even if you don’t solve riddles, just appreciating them is enough to impress me. Riddles have a lot of negative stigma around them because they have been twisted into something un-fun, but they are an art. They are to be appreciated and enjoyed, even if you aren’t the best at solving them. And even if you aren’t, you can learn techniques to better solve them (I will make a video on this). I never want anyone to feel ashamed over riddles, or feel as though they’re inadequate because they don’t instantly solve them. There’s no time limit, and no judgement EVER. (Unless I don’t like you)

Making me takes time, acceptance, and forgiveness

And even after that, I can be gone in an instant

I am but a bit of a puzzle’s flesh,

If you wish to keep me, your patience I will test

What am I?

I have a lid with straw at its end,

And my body is bestrewn with tiny, winding streams

In its center, there moves a target;

An apprentice, a student

What am I?

Three names of different meanings.

The process that creates; introduces, the beginning.

Amusement peppered with laughter.

The width of a middle,

These separate things make up the answers to this riddle

What are they?

I whisper in your ear to touch what is near —

But just out of reach — it’s so familiar,

So sweet, so inviting.

I am the silent call. I am the creeping gnaw,

The need to bite; a gaping maw.

Though I am persuasive and loyal with no recision,

Don’t let me influence even your most meaningless decision.

For you could be on a clean streak,

but as an idea alone, I would make you weak.

A scent, caught in your nose!

“It’s only a dime,” you’ll suppose!

But don’t you forget, stay in the know

that even the smallest of crumbs still leads an ant infestation to grow

You’ll come back to me.

You can claim you don’t need me,

Or put me off.

Some do boast that they lack me,

and at those who do, others scoff.

You can hate me or love me,

It doesn’t matter which.

Because it is fact that if you wish to stay alive,

You do need my embrace, my kiss, to survive.
