If you’ve read RIDDLE THIS By CJred. What did you think of it? I’m a little confused but will keep reading.
What are you confused about? I will agree that there are a lot of stuff going on really quickly so that it can get confusing especially since this is a WIP and you have to wait for a new update every week or so. Remembering what happened in the previous chapter and how this new chapter relates to previous stuff is always a challenge with any WIP in my opinion. I find myself having to always re-read the last few paragraphs of the previous chapter before reading the new one in all WIPs I follow. But I’ll do my best to summarize the entire thing for you here.

Its an Anti-Dumbledore fic, he kidnaps Hermione when she is a baby, places her with the Grangers. Voldy realizes that she is his daughter, that he thought was dead.
Snape professes his loyalty to Voldy when he realizes what Dumbledore did. Snape teaches Hermione occulmency and wandless magic and Hermione starts to trust him as she spends more and more time with him. She also learns that Dumbles isn’t all that great.
Between 6th and 7th year, Hermione goes to visit Krum, Snape accompanies her, Hermione finds out that Dumbles is using Harry and is not a good person. While with Krum and his family, she finds out about her mother and that she is not a muggleborn. She finds out Dumbles killed her mom. Hermione meets Lucius and Voldy, and it is revealed that Draco is actually betrothed to her. She stays with the Malfoys now and she finds out that Voldy is her father. She tells Voldy that she wants Harry to join their little group, he agrees.
7th year starts, Hermione slowly tells Harry about Dumbles and his naughty ways. Ron and Ginny have deserted Harry and by extension Hermione because Harry broke up with Ginny. Harry, Draco and Hermione start extra lessons together with Snape teaching them and they all become friends. Hermione takes Harry to Malfoy Manor for Christmas and finally tells him about Voldy being her father, Harry meets with him. Harry decides to take ownership of the Potter and Black names and he and Hermione become magically bound siblings, as a result, Voldy becomes their head of House due to old ancient magic. They realize that a lot of people are actually against Dumbles and find our more about his lies and manipulation. Voldy, Hermione, Harry, The Malfoys, Snape and a few ex-Order Members then conspire to take Dumbles down for good.
That’s where we are now. Chapters 20+ are basically them plotting ways to get to Dumbles and recruiting people to their side. In between that you have scenes of Dramione romance, some more information about Voldy and Hermione’s mom, some information about Harry’s family etc.
As mentioned, its a long fic and loads of stuff seem to be happening really fast so its easy to get confused. But its a good story, it has some different ideas about magic that we haven’t seen in other fics, and Harry is on Voldy’s side, which is something we don’t really see in fanfiction. So it sets itself apart from he other Anti-Dumbledore/Anti-Order fics out there. There are a lot of Harry and Hermione “sibling” moments which are cute and fluffy at times. And Draco and Hermione’s romance is a bit fast,but is not the focus of the story. The war against Dumbledore is.
My only criticism is that Hermione has a lot of say in how their group runs and what they do, which I don’t like. I get that everything started because of her. But she is surrounded by adults who are more experienced than her, they have more power in the outside world and they have dealt with Dumbledore and his Order far longer than she has, I don’t realistically see a 17/18 year old having a leadership role in that group. She seems to have more say than Harry and he is the one who Dumbledore has been using and abusing. It seems at times that when the group is confused, they turn to her. I don’t like when fics do that (a lot do that!). And I know in canon that’s how it kinda was, The Order turned to Harry, but even then it bothered me that grown adults relied heavily on a child to fight a war. (The old lady in me is popping out! lol)
But anyway, the fic is interesting, and its different which is nice, and I do love a good Anti-Dumbledore fic, so I’m excited to see how they take him down and how it’ll all resolve itself! So yeah keep reading and I hope I clarified some of your confusion, if not maybe contact the author and they can help?
I dreamt of going to the Lotte Department store...
We only had one purpose to go there... it was to buy souvenirs to bring back home. I stopped at one aisle filled with socks and intend to give it to my friends. When I looked at the price, it was quite expensive and so I ended up not buying it. Instead, I went to the food court, and saw some familiar faces at the food court, which was odd because I thought no one from my country would go to that department store.
When I went back to my apartment, I learned that the department store had a Lotte World Theme Park located at the basement... and that made me feel a bit uneasy. And I thought, instead of going there with one purpose, I should’ve explore more.
