Our re-vamp is underway. We are working on re-hauling biographies, layouts for the pages, graphics, and planning some epic plot lines. It will take us some time before we are ready for the reveal, but we’re working consistently and hope to get it done in a timely fashion.

New prompt and confessions blogs will be made.

WITH THAT SAID-- We need help! As you can see, there are 31 characters currently taken. Out of those 31, only FOUR are a person of color and only ONE is a Hufflepuff! This isn’t necessarily anyone’s fault as those that we had as a POC or Hufflepuff were not taken/did not return. While we will be including Hufflepuffs and POCs in our open characters, we really want to make this RP as diverse as possible. SOoooOooo-- for anyone who would be willing to switch their character to a Hufflepuff or a person of color, please please message us and let us know!

We thank you for our patience throughout our hiatus and as we work hard on getting things in order! During this wait-time, feel free to continue plots. As indicated, please do not go past New Years of 1979.

While we are keeping the overall plot the same and the biographies have the same/very similar personality outlines as our original biographies, we do ask that everyone remain as adaptable as possible to new plot lines. Don’t get scared, we won’t ever change who your character is without your consent, but we will be throwing you for a loop in terms of plot drops and prompts! We said this from the beginning-- expect the unexpected. It is war. We will absolutely be implementing some new ideas that can change the course of different plots. So please do your best to be open-minded and adaptable :) It will push us as writers and make the plot exciting for the long-term.

Major plot changes will be discussed with individual players as the RP gets going. Without giving away too much yet (we want there to be a big reveal moment), things are going to be exciting and different. We hope that our changes will keep an active dash and interest new players!

Make sure you let us know ASAP if you will be changing your FC or anything about your character’s biography skeleton (individualized plots do not need to be included here. We will simply be re-doing what we already had in the original biographies, so they are quite basic but we think you will like them :D).  We are working on getting those written so we can release them when everything is set.

Don’t hesitate to message us with questions or concerns and we will do our best to get back to you in a timely fashion! :)

Hello Riddle’s family!!!

The time has come. Real life has slowed down for the admins and we finally feel ready to tackle this lovely little group again :)

We will be re-vamping! 

What we need to know is who is still here and willing to remain a part of the group. Please message us by Saturday, July 30th. As the main layout is currently a hold page, you will have to message or send us an ask from the dashboard. If you have two characters, but would prefer to only keep one, please let us know by then as well. Remember, activity will be strict for those with two characters once we reopen.

We will be working on some updates and changes to the group. The overall plot will stay the same and any taken bio of those that want to stay will stay the same (though we will be working on re-formatting). However, there will be twists and turns that will be unique to Riddle’s Regime!

Feel free to continue your current threads! We do not yet have a set re-opening date as it will take us some time to re-think the open bios and formatting, work on the layout, and work on the other ideas we have, but we will make another post when we are closer to that time. We will then suggest you wrap up any current threads and plots so we can all partake in our new and exciting ideas. :)

Hello Riddle’s Regime Family!

Things have been quite slow around Riddle’s Regime for a couple of weeks. This is something we take partial responsibility for in not being active members ourselves. With life pulling us in a number of directions, it has been difficult to find the time that is needed to dedicate to the group. Running a successful and active group takes effort every single day, and unfortunately at this current point we simply do not have the time or energy to dedicate to maintain an active group.

So, we will be taking a hiatus. 

What does this mean?

We will be “shutting down” temporarily; we will not be actively advertising, conducting activity checks, posting confessions, posting memes or challenges, or coming up with new plots. However, we put so much time and effort into this RP and we do not wish to permanently leave it behind. Therefore, we plan on re-opening with a big sort of “revamp” (likely nothing major will change plot wise) when we feel comfortable with our schedules and can find the time to dedicate to this group.

While this is sad news for many of us, we do highly encourage those of you that wish to stick around to continue writing, completing old prompts and challenges, and interacting with one another. We encourage you to write up until December 1978. When we return, we will be starting in January 1979.

We hope everyone can understand that right now, we are simply not in the right place to continue this RP. We believe real-life always comes first and we’d really like to take care of things in our personal lives before we dedicate time to this once again.

Of course, we will leave the Skype chat and OOC side-blog open and we encourage an open-line of communication to continue between members and with us. We consider all of you good friends and we would love to continue a friendship with everyone!

Hey hey members!

Just a quick announcement we’d like everyone to read when they have a chance :)

If you like a post to be randomly paired with someone else, please make sure you follow through with plotting. We’ve noticed that a lot of the pairings we make, the threads are never posted! It can be very difficult to plot, which is why we’ve been trying to include short prompts or little bits of inspiration to help your creativity flow, so we do hope that helps! You’re also allowed to complete any of the past prompts or challenges throughout the RP, so feel free to use anything from the operations blogs as inspiration.

We have noticed that not everyone is completing these threads and we’re not sure if it is simply because your partner never received your message or never replied, or if one of the partners is not following through with plotting. Check your inboxes/messages to make sure you don’t have messages from someone you’ve been paired with, and if you notice you haven’t done your paired threads yet, please reach out to your partner with ideas and suggestions! It’s not fair to message someone without contributing somewhat to the plotting and entirely relying on your partner to come up with an idea.

We’re all guilty of this. Plotting is hard and sometimes we get caught up in other posts, forgetting or putting off certain threads. We’d really like this to end as every last one of you is an important member here and we do not want anyone feeling left out or discouraged because people aren’t always responding to their messages/plots!

Hello lovely members!

We just had a few things we wanted to quickly address. This isn’t aimed at anyone in particular, it’s just sort of a memo for current members and potential applicants!

We’ve had a number of people come to us wanting their character to be an animagus. We just wanted to make a sort of blanket announcement that we will not be allowing this unless your character is an animagus in canon. As per canon, it is extremely difficult to become an animagus and it is incredibly rare, meaning that it is special. We would not want to take away from how special it is to the canon characters that are animagi by allowing multiple members to have this ability. We hope that you understand and we encourage those interested in such things to explore other creative aspects of their character and what sorts of strengths could amount to something equally as interesting!

If you have an idea for your character and would like for it to be included in a prompt or challenge, do come to us and let us know! While we do our best to remain aware of as many plots as we can on the dash, it is nearly impossible to keep up with our own threads + the main + real life, so we often miss things. Don’t be afraid to ask us if you want something to be mentioned in our prompt blog! We could certainly use such suggestion.

If you have general suggestions for the RP, we’d love to hear them. If there is anything that bothers you, no matter what it is, we would like to hear it. Trust us, we can take some criticism and will not be offended. We want to make sure that this RP runs smoothly and that everyone is as happy as possible and suggestions can certainly help!

Most of all, please be polite. We’ve not had any major issues with this, but remember that tone isn’t easily read online. If you are coming to us with a request or advice or going to fellow players with ideas or comments, be nice.
