NOW RELEASED... the highly anticipated AV8 Pant. Over the past 6 months, we have redesigned, redeveloped and now… redefined what a Race Pant is. Some years ago, we set out to make the world’s best Race Pant. With each new release, we get closer and closer and the all new AV8 Race Pant, is a bold step in that direction. In redeveloping a new race pant from the ground up, we started with a few simple rules that could not be altered. We wanted it to be lighter. We wanted it to be stronger. We wanted it to be more aerodynamic. Stronger: We increased the primary crash zone of the pant to offer greater protection to the knee. We have increased the strength of the butt fabric by over 40%! Lighter: We have decreased the overall weight of the pant by eliminating unnecessary clutter and buckles. We have removed the thigh fabric and replaced it with a stronger yet lighter 330 Denier Polyester. Slimmer: We have made the AV8 pant more aerodynamic by making the pant slightly slimmer in areas suited to a slimmer fit. To compensate for the aerodynamic effect we have increased the overall mass of the stretch panels as well as introducing a higher grade stretch fabric. We have added a hip flex panel which (though feels snug) allows the pants to move freely with the body as it expands during high range motion pedalling and squatting. “This pant is the merging of everything we have learnt and dreamt of over the past 20 years in the apparel industry.
