When group rides were on, the weekly #LiveLifeFresh Boombox Bike ride kicked off every Saturday morning at 10AM(ish). It featured sweet tunes, a relaxed casual pace and the occasional mid-ride cut-up session featuring local DJs on portable turntables. (It also happens to be one of our Executive Director, Cheryl's, absolute favorites!) We highly encourage everyone to join us on Saturday mornings when the group rides return. (Personally we can't wait!) Follow us and Freshtopia VA on social for updates. Every Friday we'll post a weekly cycling route highlighting the ERT and surrounding City bike lanes. Riders chose the best time and weather to explore the weekly route and share photos of their journey using hashtag #RideTheERT. (Pro Tip: Join the ERT Fit Club on Strava to share your favorite routes with other trail users and even compare ride times) FRIDAY, MAY 15 ROUTE #4: This #LiveLifeFresh Boombox Bike Ride route is 7 miles and takes about 60 minutes to complete at a casual pace. Starting at Freshtopia at 523 W 35th Street, head east to Llewellyn Ave through the Park Place Business District to Ghent, then follow Olney to Mowbray Arch and over the Hague Bridge, next head over the Brambleton Bridge to Plum Point Park via the ERT, through Chelsea, Jeff Robertson Park, up Hampton and back to 35th Street.
