Repost from @ smaishketchum So much love you're making a strong woman cry!!! I'm literally floored with the support y'all are showing helping save lives! A lil background info to this ride: 2016 I rode my first ever AIDS/LifeCycle and felt deeply for the people on the ride and those who are benefitting from these efforts. It was a real struggle both mentally and physically that I can only imagine is a drop in the ocean compared to a lifetime of struggle. Later in 2016 I was diagnosed with HSV2 and found that to be a hurdle I thought at first I couldn't get over. I found not being able to ride a bike, any fitness activity really, and the image of being "damaged goods" to a world of seemingly perfect people to break me from the inside out. Fast forward to 2018 where I had a major bike crash that landed me in the hospital ICU for three days. While my brain took most of the impact, thank god I was wearing a helmet and able to bounce back quickly. Thru some soul searching and a strong as heck community uplifting me I was able to feel normal again, dare say stronger than before that I could get over any obstacle. It's thru this family I've seen the love on this ride and would like to contribute to the cause again this year. Everyone needs that uplifting moment, so I'm reaching out to you for your help in giving back to others. Please help with what you can. I have to earn my ticket to ride and will do this with a crazy loving family like you!!! . . . . 📷 @rockcitydiesel #ridetoendaids #ride545 #whyIride #fUSAC #SoCalFixedSeries #HeavyPedal #sorrycoach #PitViperbabes #AIDSLIFECYCLE
