Horse: Cav
Ride: Lesson
Included: Lead file, 10m circles, half circles, 4 loop serpentine's
How it went: Good, wasn’t too much of a wally!
Comments: C said I can ride at 11, as the person needed a lead file. So got my jobs done, Cav was already tacked up as he had just had a lesson, and went up to get the Tod. Was nervous of being lead as I’m not that great with anything sooo..anyway A came and i started untying the multiple knots on Tods neck cover and she was saying how she’s only cantered once, and we said we all start somewhere and I mentioned about my first time on M and aw. We went into the arena and she was telling me about her daughters fearlessness when riding and thats given her more encouragement. Anyway off we started..My halts were awful, I am literally so weak. Again I was getting carried away and kept having to slow down, did 25m’s 20’s 15’s and 10’s. So it was time to canter, and A went into it following me, kept thinking about not letting him rush off, and we did a lap of the school, and she was so happy. So C continued teaching her whilst I walked round and she was trying to get A to canter on her own, and he did one step of canter, but I know how frustrated A must have felt. At the end of the lesson i was cooling him down and then C asked me to go into trot on a large circle, back to walk, then trot, then canter, then trot and walk.. and i figured she was showing A something or other, so I started walking towards them and she explained that she was saying about the head movement. And then she asked me to walk across the school so she could show the footfalls, and then into trot and finally i could jump off.
Positives: Not completely screwing A’s lesson up for her, seeing the happiness on A’s face when she cantered, felt stable in my position, canter was good, even if we did go into medium for a side, oops.
Work on: Reins shorter, I always feel like they are but theyre not!
