what’s right anymore who knows okay listen neither one really knows but after a while it becomes apparent that what’s right equates to what’s right for humanity, what does humanity need, and our (angel) guidance or influence for humanity. and oh my god michael knows that and he did something about it and it was the right thing to do.
he believes in mikhail and michael okay. like there’s no difference for cas since he believes in the archangel’s decisions from the start and to the end, but obviously there’s going to be some doubt. the amount of love and hope michael has for humanity since the beginning affected cas in a positive light. since he mostly observed humanity and saw it in the same way michael saw it, and that he was rooting for the humans just the same.
When God chose your kind as the object of His love, I was the first in all of heaven to bow down before you. My love, my hope for mankind was no less than His. But I have watched you trample that gift. I have watched you kill each other over race and greed... waging war over dust and rubble and the words in old books. And yet, in the midst of all this darkness, I see some people who will not be bowed. I see some people who will not give up, even when they know all hope is lost. Some people, who realize being lost is so close to being found.
Castiel is so behind this it’s ridiculous. Of course there wouldn’t be an angel to question God and His commands against humanity even if it was just a test. Castiel was afraid just as Michael was afraid because of Lucifer’s punishment. And also the amount of confusion for the emotions that all of that brought. There is immense love for Michael when he did what was right instead of what God wanted. lmao and cas is kind of pissed about gabriel’s decisions.
And on the opposite note of that, Mikhail has Castiel’s absolute highest respect for the fact that he is the good son. Obedient and unbreaking. What an angel is supposed to be really, how they were created. They’re not machines but they’re close. Then Mikhail casting out Hêlêl was seen as brave for a lack of a better term. but also ???? for castiel. because he is their brother and why would you do that mikhail? but isn’t it also the right thing to do, or at least it’s what God wanted. mikhail is the leader they all need and cas just doesn’t see himself as a leader even though they both think they don’t deserve to be saved because of their mistakes.
And then there’s the pressure of God’s tests after things happened so much.
Trying for humanity, wanting to do what’s right, not wanting to question God but iT’S JUST NOT RIGHT. AND WHAT IS RIGHT. WHAT IS WRONG AND FACING THE PUNiSHMENT and cas is just you went through so much you deserve your redemption and you’re doing good
Michael would be the first to teach what it is about actually being an angel of God. Not just a soldier but as a shepherd for God’s creations. Heaven’s orders were fine at first. but things started to become questionable especially the extermination war and the flood and eVERYTHING tbh?? but then michael saving the baby and stopping gabriel. uhgagkdsas i have so much emotion but i’m asdgehrfd at this point i don’t think i can explain any more and definitely not coherently. bUT I THINK YOU GET IT
