Random headcanon:
Mandalorians don’t have a problem with polyamory. There’s nothing in the marriage vows that would prohibit having several spouses. They do however have those lines about being one and sharing all. So it might follow that the normative mando way to do polyamory would be what we’d call a closed polycule where all the spouses are also married to each other—but spouses having committed relationships separately would be considered odd. By closed btw, I don’t mean sex. It’s really about commitment with mandos, might not even be about romance always.
Just to be clear, I support all kinds of ethical polyamory. Do what makes you happy. But no culture is perfect and every culture has their own little hangups. There will be both things that make perfect sense to people in that culture, and things that will make them go “hol up, how would that even work?” And I think that if you told a mando you have two husbands who are also married to each other, they’d go like, yeah, makes perfect sense. But if you just told them you had two husbands, they’d just assume they are also married to each other. And if that wasn’t the case, they might ask stupid questions about how your relationship functions.

It is hard for Cody to describe what he and Rex are to each other.
They are more than friends. It may have started that way, but that is far too casual a term for the depth of their relationship now.
They are more than brothers. After all, nearly everyone who Cody interacts with is; brothers-in-arms or brothers-in-blood, the lines are blurred when the whole GAR shares the same.
They are more than superior and subordinate. They remain professional while on duty of course, respecting the chain of command protects their men under them, but in private Rex is one of the few with whom he can let down those walls.
They are more than lovers. They have shared physical intimacy in the past, and will again, but that is almost incidental next to all else they have shared: thoughts and emotions, fears and dreams, whispered plans for After.
They are…partners, perhaps. Equal, supportive, a pair. ‘One when together and one when apart’, for all that the latter is unfortunately the more common state of affairs.
In the end, Cody doesn’t really care what people call it. He just knows that he is Rex’s and Rex is his. In every way they can be.

I'm reading a fic where Shmi lives in Jango's house and is raising Anakin there, and their relationship isn't defined in the text beyond that (Qui-Gon guesses she's his wife but even his internal narration has a question mark), and I just... well, what DOES qualify as a marriage on Mandalore? Because this might!
