a fine greeting to all who stumbled upon this probably after scrolling gob tags and being confused out of their minds,
Rift (or sometimes referred to as the Rift Trilogy) is a self-indulgent AU fanfiction series of Garten of Banban, and has been my biggest and most well-known project since 2023.

TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES AND GENERAL SETTING: violence, death, gore, themes of trauma, manipulation, (physical and verbal i think?) abuse (applies to teenage children), possible disturbing themes, suicidal ideation (and one-time attempted suicide? nobody dies in that i promise i know this looks jarring as hell), some crude form of possible cultism???, mentions/goals of genocide, terminal disease??
i swear, but the books don't!

holding major changes and having ended the "canon" storyline after what would be chapter 3 in the games, i know this blog likely looks completely indecipherable to the average non-isolated-from-the-community-for-3-years, so i just ask you to bear with me (or don't, i don't know) and for the love of everything between the walls, ask! i love when someone cares enough to trigger my yapping on purpose. you could maybe also ask the characters if you wish, this may double as an askblog. (Reasonable) requests are aight too
a gentle heads up that this blog is run by a minor, a rather young one at that. if that alone makes you uncomfortable, you're free to tread on along. that is also your sign to remain sane and SFW, but don't push it too much, i too make dirty jokes. (note: 90% of the characters don't have genitals, and that other 10% is just the dead humans)
if you stood long enough to read a gob blog's introduction post you probably don't need this, but i am aware that the origin material has a crummy reputation. i was extremely anxious about making this thing in the first place, i'm just a teen scum trying to have fun. hate interaction/trolling will not be entertained. why yes, i am cringe.
and for those equally as insane as me (in this fandom), be aware that i stopped keeping track of the games after chapter 4 and any character introduced after that has a very low to no chance of being in this AU given i don't know anything about them. i'm not willing to do my research, this universe has branched far enough from the canon to be its own thing at this point, and its aight without it
