druidic transfiguration: a branch of transfiguration that connects deeply with herbology. the wizard transfigures plants into tools that they can use, or they can transfigure themselves into a plant. an ancient art passed down by druidic wizards, this class is a must for any durmstrang student seeking a better understanding of nordic wizarding culture and theory

translation charms: since durmstrang stretches from central europe to the baltics, the school is a-buzz with at least two dozen languages. thus, translation charms are a necessary part of a durmstrang education. covers basic european languages, spotting grammatical patterns, and context clues divination in order to help students learn foreign languages

alchemical dueling: another interdisciplinary course that combines the practice of alchemy with dueling. duelists are to duel with a cartridge belt full of various potions and elixirs, which may enhance certain abilities of their wand when it is dipped into them. requires extreme familiarity with one’s wand and personality

worst classes:

open-soul divination: a more vulnerable but highly effect form of divination that teaches the seer to open their body to spirits and supernatural beings in order to receive their predictions and prophecies

tree-branch numerology: another ancient druidic art that combines xylomancy with arithmancy. teaches the wizard to divine possible solutions to a problem by communicating to them the available paths through a certain number of tree branches

lightning forging: combining elemental charms and metal transfiguration, this class teaches students to forge a variety of items in lightning – resulting in creations of unusual durability and shine

favourite haunts:

the heart of durmstrang: both the central heating system of durmstrang and also the workshop for fire-crafters of all kind. the heat from the ‘heart’ heats the stone floors of the main durmstrang building, and blacksmiths and potters alike also utilise it to practice their craft

star-shooting tower: special practice room with enchanted stars on the ceiling and walls for students to practice their dueling skills – particularly their aiming abilities

like a flame flickering in the wind, durmstrang only gets stronger when you try and blow it out. it is defiant and biting, a fierce sort of spirit that is beautiful to behold but painful to touch. only those with souls of fire can dance with the wild conflagration of durmstrang and come out unscorched. fire cannot kill a dragon.

you whip your wand sharply through the air, and it feels like a match striking against your magic. you feel the resulting conflagration warm your soul, and you feel like you could breathe fire. you feel as if you might burn from the intensity of it all – but yet you are whole; for fire cannot burn a true witch. you smirk as you shape the smouldering, bright magic between your fingers, toying it as wind does with wildfire, stoking it until it is white hot and you are but a star with a human’s name.

a wild laugh like a sparking branch echoes in the wind. as you turn back and look at the solemn stone of durmstrang, your red robes whipping like dark fire behind you, you know that stone walls cannot contain the magic of durmstrang – as penetrating as light, as permeating as heat. you smile. there is a reason why man tried to tame flame. as the crackling autumn wind laughs into your ear again, you make your promise to the stars; the flame of durmstrang will never go out, for you are a torch of its painful brilliance. and as long as you are alive, no one stands a chance of extinguishing this school’s wild power.

The Mystical Land of Coffee and Essays Chapter 2

Pairing: Reggie Mantle/Jughead Jones

Summery: This will eventually be a bunch of random one-shots, but here’s the first. There won’t be very much plot, mostly just fluff but dang it’ll be cute. Follow the misadventures of two guys that love to hate each other and can’t live without trying to out-snark the other.

Based on the prompt “i accidentally flooded the laundry room and you really needed to do laundry” and I have always wanted to do this for something and I had a lot of fun with this one. No beta for it again sorry, I'm just doing these for fun and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I like writing it? This ship needs some more love.

Note: The characters are kind of a personality mix of the comics and RD, but the the events of either haven’t happened in the story unless explicitly stated. I tried to find a happy middle ground and honestly there’s so little for this pairing at all that I had to do something about it.
