I don’t have a lot of old drawings that can be posted for mayblade, but I do have this Rin I drew back in 2021 with colored pencils using her limited panels in the manga, I hope this is enough for the prompt “Future” @may-blade

Into our lives: Short story 2 - Midnight on the Line
Mayblade 2026: Day 3 - Phone
Genre: Family Setting: Rei's future home Characters: Rei Kon, Mao Chen Kon, Lin Kon, Hu Kon (OC) Pairing: Rei/Mao | Ray/Mariah FFN | AO3 Dividers by @cafekitsune
The evening unwinded after chaos. The kitchen's air clinked with ceramic and glass vessels, the gush of water gently pouring into the sink and the gentle hum of the exhaust fan. The faint sound of a TV series buzzed from the living room. Motorcycles passed by. From upstairs, the door creaked open and the faint argument between the two teenagers was audible. She sighed out of exhaustion.
MAYBLADE 2023: DAY 30 - THE FUTURE
I followed the official page of IbisPaint on YouTube, because I felt that I should change my art style to a better one and here you go! Have the cutest baby Lin Kon and her family 😸
Reference.
I think, besides the Mayblade prompts, I’ll try remaking some of my very old BAMM illustrations
This one is from 2011, it’s Rei and Mao’s daughter, Lin
(I’m being overly optimistic about all of this when I’m also trying to make merch for a local con lmao so let’s see)
One day I'll be thankful Rin is an independent, ironwilled girl with a strong voice, but not today. Not in this fucking grocery store.

So much to do next year. I hate colouring so much xD
[Gou Hiwatari x Rin Kon One Shot Sneak a Peek]
Rin trudges to the detention room with shoulders crouched and the usual fierce gleam in her eyes vanished.
She pushes the door open and without even considering to cast a glance at her surroundings, she occupies the spot near the window in the back of the room. A few murmurs and curious looks are sent her way, but Rin is too absorbed by the fact this is her first time getting a serious detention, for a ridiculous reason -being late for french.
An eerie silence is lying in the air when a comment finally breaks the ice. “Didn’t know the puppy slippers came back into fashion.”
Rin’s fingers curl into a fist, her nails pressing hard on the soft flesh of her palm and she grits her teeth in order to fight a retort which burns her lungs, begging her to let it go and shut the mouth of the genius who threw this incredibly intelligent line at her.
Don’t let little shits get to you. Breathe Rin, Just breathe.
She lets her eyes fall shut as the teacher who is going to be their supervisor begins a lecture on how many students have ended up becoming worthless people in the society due to the daily detentions they were getting and Rin tunes him out of her system immediately. She takes out her iPod discreetly and places the earbuds on her ears. Numb by Linkin Park fills her senses since she isn’t in the mood for any romantic songs, piano pieces or ballads.
After a few minutes, a person slumps on the seat next to her and Rin’s eyes grow wide at Gou’s presence. The guy never gets into trouble -just like her she muses, so how is it possible for him, for the Gou Hiwatari to get into any form of trouble.
Rin removes her earbuds and observes him with shrewd eyes. After sucking in a breath, she voices aloud her thouhts.
“Okay, I get it that I’m here for being three hours late to class and wearing my sexy puppy slippers, but that doesn’t explain why you’re here.“
A smirk curves Gou’s lips as he casts a stare at the window, his gaze pointing at the graffiti of a middle finger. Many students’ jaws drop and Mr David shifts uncomfortably on his spot when Gou finally speaks.
“All I did was a little graffiti.”
