Act 2 - The Other Praxic Blades
[Location: ???]
[Vocals Only]
“It’s not your fault, Rodrigro. You never could’ve anticipated this.”
“Of course it’s my fault, it is a grave oversight that nearly costed the lives of those I hold dear!”
“Rodrigo-”
“Rinako, this hybrid nearly killed all three of them. If it weren’t for those members of that guild interfering, we would’ve never known of their deaths until we personally sought them out!”
“...”
“Never again. All bounties from now on will be taken with the six of us together, we can’t risk something like this happening again. Together we all will track down this hybrid and then properly bring it to justice with all of us involved.”
“...Rodrigo, even though I perfectly understand your feelings as well as why they’re justified, you need to push these thoughts away. It’s one thing to feel guilt, but to have it dig into your soul will destroy you from the inside out.”
“...”
“None of them blame you. When they called to inform us of the situation, did you hear any blame in their tone?”
“...No, I did not.”
“Only Richmond is subtle with his emotions, yet placing blame on you is not who he is. None of them said it’s your fault, for in the end their decision was made on their own accord.”
“But sending Valence was-”
“Rodrigo, STOP.”
“...”
“You swear that you will never let this happen again?”
“...Yes, I do. I will never split us up again to prevent this from happening.”
“Then that’s all that’s needed.”
“...”
“Mistakes happen, Rodrigo. Even if we don’t see it as a mistake, you do. However everyone is fine, the injuries they sustained were minor to what they could’ve received. They are already nursing themselves back to full health, so they will be in perfect condition once we meet with them at Woodwick.”
“Yes, you’re right... The results of my fail-”
'Ahem’
“-mistake could’ve ended far worse, so for that I must be thankful and move on. I mustn’t dwell on what could’ve happened.”
“We need the Rodrigo I know back, everyone looks up to you for your enthusiasm and leadership."
“...Yeah, you’re also right.”
“Hold your chin high, my friend. The future is what deserves our attention.”
“Heh, I don’t know what I’d do without you Rinako.”
“I can only assume that you’d go to Vedika for counsel.”
“Vedika? HA! I would go to her only if I felt morbidly masochistic!”
“There’s that smile~”
“Yeah yeah, Rodrigo is back and kicking. Give yourself a medal, ninja girl.”
“Ninja girl? Now that’s one I’ve heard a few times.”
“What? Would you rather be called the crimson chick?”
“...”
“Or perhaps the flexible fiery female?”
“...I am anything but ‘fiery’, also...no.”
“Hm, perhaps-”
“Don’t make me tell Vedika that you’ve said yes to her offer.”
“YOU WOULDN’T DARE!”
“As long as you don’t call me ‘flexible fiery female’ again, I won’t.”
“Fine then, crimson chick. Have it your way.”
“...Don’t push it.”
