I absolutely agree! I personally dislike fizzy drinks. I hate the texture so much and if I did have them I would swirl it around until most, if not all, of the fizz has gone. I could imagine mizu doing the same bc the sting of soda actually hurts lmao. 100% she would think it's poison. she doesn't even drink sake/alcohol so that added carbonation would probably make her feel like she's dying.
akemi would love fizzy drinks. in a cocktail, in a mocktail, as a slushie, she'd love it. based on ep 7, she was kinda forced to expand her palate so any weird texture or flavour combination doesn't phase her at all.
taigen would also enjoy fizzy drinks and would probably be the first one to do the "sprite challenge". he'd also set the record of loudest burp to ever be recorded in Japan history.
I think ringo would not like the texture of fizzy drinks at first but will eventually enjoy it! he's a big texture guy but the unfamiliarity of sharpness on his tongue would surprise him. he'd make the best mocktails for mizu so she doesn't feel left out when they're out drinking or something.
