The curse has taken Siegfried, Brunhilde has taken the Ring, she’s thrown herself on Siegfried’s pyre, burning away the curse, the flames reach Valhalla and bring Ragnarok, and the Rhein swells it’s banks so the Maidens can take back the Gold and restore balance to the universe. The Ring Cycle is now now complete. For me, Der Ring des Nibelungen is about inspiration. I have studied it for many years, and I find, despite how much I learn, The Ring always has more to give - it is the single most complex work of art ever created by a single person, and I can barely comprehend the genius required to create something so complete.
