Hi! I was wondering on how it would be like if Mitobe confessed to his crush, with the help of Koganei too maybe, since he can't speak and all.

You had just finished packing up your bag and started heading for the main gate when you heard a loud exclamation of your name. “[Y/N]-chan!”

You turn around to see Koganei sprinting up. Mitobe quickly in toe. “Oh, Koga-kun. What is it?”

“It’s not me.” Koganei replied after catching his breath. “It’s Mitobe. He has something to tell you.”

Surprised, you turn to Mitobe, who somehow looked very small behind Koganei; despite their height difference. He scuffed his feet, fidgeted with his finger, blinked, until Koganei jumped in. “Mitobe likes you and he wants to know if you like him too.”

The statement took you completely off guard and it must have shown on your face. “Mitobe is really nice! He wants to know if you would like to go out with him.”

“Are you….asking me out…by proxy...through Koganei?” Mitobe nodded.

You sigh and turn to face the boys fully. Back straight with a serious look. “I’m sorry Mitobe. I can’t accept your confession.” He looked heart broken, which made this hurt that much more. “I do like you, I will admit. But I can’t be with someone who doesn’t even have the courage to ask me out themselves. I know you are a quiet person but to not speak up when it matters, I can’t abide that.”

Koganei’s cat like smile turned into a deep frown. He clearly felt bad for his friend and perhaps felt even a little responsible for the rejection. You couldn’t blame him though. You were sure he was only trying to help.

You were then surprised, yet again, when Mitobe pushed past his friend, looked at you with a stern stare, then leaned in towards your ear. “I like you. Will you go out with me?”

It was quiet, but you heard him. You could feel your face heating up to an almost boiling temperature as Mitobe pulled back. Looking at you as if waiting for an answer. “….yes, Mitobe. I will go out with you.”

“AHOO!” Koganei cheered before realizing he was yelling and interrupting the moment. “I uh…I’ll leave you kids alone then…” He then took off again to leave the two of you alone.

To talk or, well, not in Mitobe’s case. The two of you would figure that out though.

Mitobe Rinnosuke x Y/N femReader Pt4

The Confession

The sun had dipped low, painting Seirin’s courtyard in shades of orange. Practice had ended hours ago, but Y/N lingered behind, sitting on the bench under a tree with her notebook open. She was scribbling little recipes in the margins, humming quietly to herself.

Mitobe appeared, towel draped around his shoulders, sweat still clinging to his hairline. He didn’t say anything as he approached, just sat down beside her.

“You stayed late too, huh?” she murmured. Her resting face softened as she smiled faintly at him. “Guess we’re both a little stubborn.”

Mitobe leaned back, watching her pen move across the page. For a long time, the silence was comfortable. Then, carefully, he reached over and tapped her notebook.

She blinked. “Hm? You… want to see?”

He nodded.

She turned the notebook toward him, showing a half-finished recipe for spicy chicken stew. “It’s a comfort dish. I usually make it when I’m sad or… when I want to feel at home.”

Mitobe’s eyes lingered on the page, then back at her. Without a word, he took the pen from her hand and wrote something at the bottom of the recipe.

Y/N tilted her head curiously. In neat, careful letters, he had written:

“Make this for me.”

Her breath caught. “Mitobe…”

His expression was calm, but his ears were burning red. He hesitated, then added beneath it:

“I like you.”

Y/N’s eyes widened, her chest tightening as warmth flooded her face. She swallowed hard. “…You… like me?”

For the first time, she heard it — faint, low, but undeniably his voice.

“…Yes.”

The single word was barely more than a whisper, but it was enough.

Y/N’s eyes sparkled as she laughed softly, a little shaky. “You don’t know how much that means to me.”

Without thinking too hard, she leaned in and brushed her lips against his cheek. Mitobe’s entire body stiffened, then his hand twitched before carefully cupping hers. His face was crimson, but his quiet gaze never wavered.

For the first time in a long time, Y/N felt seen.
