I've seen a lot of people do reflections of their years and so that's what I'm gonna do Not that it really matters because I 1) haven't done much at all and 2) people don't read my posts that much anyways but here goes I got a job! A wonderful job that is improving my social anxiety and channeling my pedantic needs to straighten and organise items. I also work with some pretty great people who are so supportive. I also met one of my best friends and they mean the world to me. Every conversation just makes me feel bubbly inside (even if they need to sleep more!) so thankyou! There's many more good things that I've probably forgotten but in 2016, I also spent a long time fixated on people who were completely wrong for me. Bending over backwards and making myself sick trying to win their attention and affection. I know now that my own happiness is more important and I will be striving towards that in 2017. Once again cheers to all my mutuals, irl friends and followers for improving my 2016. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2017
One time when I was in high school I had a field trip to see an author at my local library do a book signing and talk about the creative process, what it was like to be a publisher both with a publishing company and self publishing, etc etc, it was super interesting.
But we took a van because there were only 6 of us and one of my classmates was rumored to be "playing hooky" but his mom called him in sick. And on the way to the library we saw him shooting hoops in his driveway and we didn't stop to say hi because we were running late. Then our teacher said "absolutely fucking not" when his friends BEGGED us to sit outside his apartment when he said he was violently shitting all his pants from how sick he was. (He was not sick, we did not care. He needed a mental health day and we respected that)
Biggest regret is that we didn't pull over and take his lying ass with us. It was really fun.
Hiddleswift… a fever dream I miss.
