There was more emotion in this scene, where Kagome was separated from Inuyasha for like a week...
...than there was in the latest yashahime episode where they saw their daughter for the first time IN FOURTEEN YEARS AFTER BEING FORCED TO GIVE HER AWAY FOR HER OWN SAFETY. Like... What is this bullsh*t??
I get that they're happy she's alive and had a chance to grow up, but not even any real tears? No attempt to catch her? The amount of times that Inuyasha has caught or picked up Kagome to bring her to safety and you're telling me he isn't going to do that for his own daughter? Okay.
Also they didn't even look that surprised. Have they been watching her somehow? Maybe time moves differently there and that's why they haven't aged and don't seem that distraught over not seeing their daughter (or any other loved ones) for over a decade.
Everything about Yashahime RUINED so many characters. All for ~°•*plot*•°~ 🙄 it's like they didn't even pay attention to the original story. Like, OG anime/manga watchers/readers went through so much just for there to be peace at the end, and these reboots destroy that for the sake of making a profit "compelling" story. It's uncool, lazy writing. Fuck off, Sunrise.
