everyone trying to find mermaids in everything between now and ts7.
fazbear entertainment sticking eclipse in an arcade machine to sweep them under the rug all because he accidentally hurt someone and wanted to avoid being scrapped cause of it? that's just sad man, eclipse would be forever grateful to roxy (who felt bad for him upon finding his sad origin story) for releasing him from that arcade prison and giving him another chance at life. he would get along well with both the old and new animatronics at the plex, especially sun and moon who would welcome the friendly, lonely and glowy newcomer with open arms.
Why would they do that? If they've ever heard of Eclipse, they're gonna have heard about them from the staff.
Staff aren't going to say anything positive. At this point, Eclipse is probably like a Pizzaplex legend. The boogeyman that they joke shows up and kills people, since no one around now was actually there when Eclipse was a thing.
All the others probably knows is spooky stories if that.
And suddenly Roxy just brought them back. From the dead. A monster story revived. And she's telling everyone that the stories aren't true and is clearly very confident about this but the others aren't so sure. How could they? They've heard the stories. Eclipse must have killed someone! They're not safe!
She can show them the evidence she has, Eclipse can plead their case and maybe they'll believe it was just an overexaggeration of the truth. Maybe they do! Certainly some of them would take Roxy's word for it. They know she wouldn't knowingly put any of them in danger and she seems to have done her research. But there's always going to be that thought, at least for a little while, that maybe she's wrong.
Maybe she's just a bit too clever? Maybe she's just a bit too confident? Maybe she was a bit too curious for answers and get fed a bunch of lies from somewhere she now believes are true? What do they do then? They trust her but they know she's not perfect. She's not untrickable. None of them are.
Their concerns start to dwindle as time goes on but occasionally there'll be a little worry that maybe she's got this all wrong and they're all being played for fools.
But just imagine Taylor watching us build crazy theories after theories every year and laughing. Sometimes I wonder if she drops fake hints on purpose just to watch us go up in flames about something irrelevant
