She couldn't hide her open shock at his suggestion even if she wanted. Sitting up suddenly from where she had been lying down reading with Tomo sleeping curled up against her chest. She had just been about to fall asleep when his delicate words landed between them so quietly she had wondered if she dreamed them up from being in that sweet spot between awareness and deep sleep. Displeased at being woken up, Tomo simply retreats underneath the quilt with a sidelong glare at Iwai.
"That's what you want to do today, on Christmas?"
Not that she was ever one to celebrate it anyway, the idea seems like something more likely to come from Pinky's mouth than Iwai's. Surprised, and then just skeptical she looks curiously at the book in his hands and only sees the usual vintage book he likes to read. Nothing immediately standing out to her. Narrowing her eyes slightly-
"Are you joking?"
She wasn't mad, just extremely surprised and highly suspicious.
