RIP the 1st Ace Mask with See-Through Eyes
I was really proud of myself when I made my Ace Mask ‘cause it turned out I was the only cosplayer so far who made an Ace Mask with eyes you can see-through… I could walk around wearing it without bumping into things! The sad thing is that the mask is broken now…
I was wearing it, some child thought I was a skeleton. So I take if off to tell them “I’m just some character who wears a mask,” and the kid just rudely rips it out of my hand it throws it on the floor. I originally thought it would still be fixable but then I noticed the gigantic crack that actually forces the mask to bend in half.
I’m not exactly mad at the child… I’m just disappointed on both his rudeness and the fact that his mom who was there witnessing it didn’t do anything to correct his actions.
I’m honestly worried about that child as well now; if he doesn’t learn how to treat people and their things nicely, he could end up growing up as a bully to the kids his age… And I’m really sad about how the mother doesn’t seem to care; letting the kid do whatever.
Typing this also reminds of something ironic to my worries 'cause recently at my school, the son of one of the coach of my school’s wrestling team decided to break my boyfriend’s laptop… My boyfriend was lucky it was just the laptop frame that broke, and the guy was lucky that all he had to do was pay 9 bucks for a new frame. (Though teachers had to get involved 'cause the guy didn’t really wanna pay… Which is stupid 'cause 9 dollars is no big deal.)
In the end… I’m worrying about a child’s future and not really the mask. I mean, come on… I can just remake it! I was proud of the fact I did it then, maybe I can make it better and be more proud of it! But in the end, I’m worried if the child is ever gonna learn…
Even though I guess I am thankful? Thanks to the child being a brat, I got to convert another person into the fandom… So that’s a positive!
when i get these hot pink slime covered sunglasses that'll probably be my new avatar
