I can't even imagine losing someone close to me again.

sometimes losing a friend is much harder than losing a family member.

i had no idea

i just learned that my friend is not with us anymore

i met him at ofsaa when we were both having bad shooting days. we were both taking a breath of fresh air outside. he said hi and from then on we became friends. we talked after shooting and then texted once the tournament was done. we talked for weeks and i had no idea.

no idea that he would end his own life

i only found out because on facebook it said it was his birthday and i read some of his friends wishes. one of them included a link to a star news article. it said that he took his own life, and that no one knew. 

it shocked me. there was not one hint that he suffered from depression, not one inkling for even his family. 

i had texted him one day a few weeks ago and was wondering why he wasnt texting back, well i got my answer. 

the events of the past few months have opened my eyes to a new world that i never had to even think about before, but now i know so much about it. 

now im super worried about my best friend, and im worried about anyone else i, or others know who are keeping these thoughts and feelings inside and decide to make the wrong choice and end everything. 

well mitchell i hope youre in a better place, doing archery, riding motorcycles, and being happier. just know that youre missed. i will never forget how when i was feeling terrible that day we met you came and made everything better. thank you.
