the thing that keeps hitting me the hardest is the fact that she’s never going to get to play with her favourite mouse toy ever again. she’s never going to sit on top of our basketball hoop which was her favourite place to sit. she’s never going to get to see her best friend ever again. i keep hoping that these past few days have just been some sick nightmare that i’m going to wake up from any minute but i haven’t and i’m not going to because this is real, this is happening and she’s gone forever.

The little black kitten I was trying to nurse back to health died this morning... I'm crushed. I really grew attached to that little guy. I know I did everything I could to keep it alive, but it just wasn't enough.
