I'm heartbroken that Ymir is dead but not utterly surprised. It was awkwardly done, from a narrative development perspective, but after the timeskip I guess the chances of her being saved became a lot slimmer. I just don't get why they had someone who was already a Titan shifter eat her. That doesn't make any sense to me. Surely, from a practical stand point, you'd want as many shifters active as possible? Does combining two titans make them into some kind of ... super titan? I guess that could have its advantages. Anyway, I'm really sad and going back to bed now.
Update: I misread the chapter, Galliard apparently didn’t have a shifter before eating Ymir. That makes me feel a little better.

why did they kill ymir?? the whole sacrificing thing goes against her character and beliefs… :( seems like a pretty OOC thing to do to advance the plot.. whatever
