do you think Harry and Zayn really didn't talk

I think they were definitely friends until probably like late summer or fall 2014. After that, I think the statement that they didn’t really talk is probably accurate. I have a lot of thoughts about Zayn and Harry’s friendship and its eventual demise, and I’ve talked about some of them before, but I think it’s a controversial topic so I don’t know how in depth I’ve gotten. Regardless, I think the friendship ended before Zayn left the band, and I thought that long before we received the quote by Zayn (or his publicist, or whatever) in that interview.
