Thanks, lovelies. <333 She’s fractured her pelvis in several places, but fortunately it’s a stable fracture so she doesn’t need surgery. She also smashed the car windscreen with her head and is covered in massive scrapes and bruises, but her other CT scans were clear. Thank god it was a small car travelling at a relatively small speed or I dread to think what the outcome would have been. As it was we were in paediatric A&E until 3am Wednesday morning, when it was finally confirmed that she wouldn’t have to be transferred to another hospital in London for surgery. She was allowed home that afternoon on crutches, but has to rest and isn’t allowed to do any unnecessary physical activity for six weeks. She’s upset that she can’t dance, but hey, that’ll teach her not to run out in front of cars! Srsly, I think this experience has shaved at least ten years off my life. -_-

Thanks, lovelies. *hugs* I took some time out and I feel a little better now, so I’m going to see if I can get a bit of writing done before bed. Even if I only end up writing one sentence, I’ll still be fulfilling my goal to write something every day and that’s enough for me.

And ART! Whenever I'm struggling with something, there always seems to be some artist that can articulate what I'm feeling so much better than I seem to be able to. And as it turns out, one of my favorite artists recently did a one-woman play and album about caring for her mother through late-stage dementia.

I feel you, I put so much extra pressure on myself on the days I have more time that it usually backfires. Give yourself a break and if it’s still not coming and you are determined to write then just write rubbish. Just write down whatever you can, no matter how bad it is. It will feel ridiculous but eventually it might put you in the right space. I've tried this and it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Good luck and just be kind to yourself :)
