Thanks, bbs. <333 I think she’s in better shape than me, tbh! She’s in much better spirits and moving around on her crutches more easily. I’m in a world of exhaustion and pain (I had to literally run from the house to where she was lying in the road), but I’m just glad she’s okay. It was a terrifying experience for all of us.

Well... you’re not wrong. It’s been hours after the fact and I’m still really god damn giddy. Also thank you! I was embarrassing myself on our room’s couch just gushing over Karl and my mom was filming me, and taking pictures.

Since I only have 8 fics on AO3, I’m going to split it into top 4/bottom 4 instead. So here’s the top four:

Are you surprised? Why?

In many ways, yes! In terms of my top four, I certainly wasn’t expecting Though My Soul... to get so much attention, because it was my first ever Star Trek fic, and the hit and kudos count blew me away. It was the same for Perdition too - that was both my first ever Marvel fic, and my first ever fic (I think) bigger than 10k - the response astounded me. I’d only really ever posted work on deviantart before, and my fics reached a far wider audience on AO3. As for ATLL and COHS - the hit count is less for both, but with ATLL essentially being a zombie semi-AU, and COHS being a WIP, that’s to be expected. I think both the MCU and Trek AOS fandoms being so big certainly helped me out, but I’m not sure why exactly these in particular were most popular!

In terms of my bottom four, they make a lot of sense to me. From the bottom up, These Violent Delights... I wrote for a friend, and with the main pairing being Mystrade in Sherlock, I’m not surprised it didn’t get much attention, as it isn’t as popular as the obvious.  What I’ve Been Living For was essentially a oneshot add-on to ATLL, and with the main pairing being Bones and my OC Alfie, it’s not surprising it’s not as popular. I am surprised almost a thousand people have read it! With Every Heartbeat... and Take My Hand... are both TOS fics, so again, I’m not surprised they didn’t get as much attention. Also, I find that my E-rated fics tend to be read more than my T-rated ones, so that at least partially explains why Take My Hand... is more popular than With Every Heartbeat...

All that being said, it could just be the fic summaries, posting times, subject matter, etc that affected the popularity of them all!

As in on tumblr? Well I only really post links with previews, so naturally they don’t get a fantastic number of notes. I’m always grateful for the reblog though!

Yeah. *sigh* It’s not life-threatening or anything, just really fricking uncomfortable and it means I’ll have to be extra careful when I’m out and about from now on (covering up or wearing a high factor sun cream). I had a severe reaction when I was on holiday in Cornwall, but I figured that was because I had been sitting in the sun for a while. However, today I was only exposed to the sun for a short amount of time and I still ended up with a raging rash and blisters on the back of my hands. I’m going to have to go back to the doctor for stronger medication because what I have right now isn’t doing nearly enough to soothe it. I’m about ready to chop my hands off, srsly.
