Y'all remember Infinity Train? I sure do. I'm gonna miss this brilliant show forever and ever, and I'm forever grateful to everyone who worked on it. If you haven't watched it, go do that now.

OK we are getting so much union yaoi here and I'm so happy about it but I did want to give a very quick tldr of what the shorts featuring them are asking us to do.

First of all the shorts are made by jellybox an indie animation studio. Who you should go follow

Second the main hashtag related to them seems to be #staytooned especially for updates

However, there are others that they are recommending we post under to help spread the word.

#CancelledCartoons is being used to post about your favourite cartoons that were unjustly cancelled or removed from being able to be watched. There are a lot of these but the biggest name I knew was infinity train which was of course treated horrifically, though it looks like other instances like two close to my heart, the owl house and inside job are also very much free game.

#RIPCartoonNetwork is being used to talk about cartoon network shows that you wish were still around after mass lay offs and other terrible practices

#NoAI is reccommed for parents to talk about their kids' favourite tv shows to protest the idea of uncanny ai slop being fed to kids

#HumanArt is recommended for talking about your favourite animated shows to support having human workers making art and not ai.

Finally and most vitally, support and donate if you can to The Animation Guild.

EVERYONE, SPREAD THE WORD

Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends is a great show produced by Cartoon Network Studios themselves. They made a character I’ve hyperfixiated on for so long too. They even made a ton of loveable characters just like the silly, mischievous Bloo.

I’m also very worried for Foster’s Funtime For Imaginary Friends going slower in production, since there’s a huge problem in the Animation Industry. But Ai is taking over animation which is a problem, that also includes greed, cutting staff and many workers being unemployed. Its just a sad sight to see what’s happening to our favorite production places. DON’T DIE ON US!!! First we lost the iconic building, AND NOW THE ANIMATION INDUSTRY!?

Breaking my indefinite hiatus for a moment.

Animation crew are without jobs, projects are getting shelved before they even get out the door for a quick buck on taxes, and the main CNS building has officially been shuttered.

This sucks.

All because of corporate greed.

The way I see it, CN is effectively going the way SEGA did in the early 2000s.

Used to be a major player in their respective industries.

Had some major failures that set them back.

Still exists, but moreso in name and only makes things for other people's platforms. Just another cog in a larger machine.

I'll hopefully be back someday, preserving what little of CN's three decade legacy as I can, but I don't want it to be on Tumblr anymore due to the rise of generative AI invading the space. I'd be contributing to the problem if I were to post any more here.

I'd like for it to be on my own website, but I'm not in a position where I can afford to pay for a domain on a regular basis, and I'm just one person, so the actual hunts become a huge task in and of themselves.

R.I.P. Cartoon Network

As you all know Cartoon Network Studios shut down, and they're removing their own shows from their own streaming service and digital purchase.

Including other successful animation studios, shows that are or was rejecting good shows after one or two seasons, or before they even aired the pilot. This also includes a lot animation workers & creators unemployed or disappointed they won't finish their series. During COVID19 their shows carried the industry and made a lot of people happy or excited. (And being able to watch something else besides TTG.)

Unfortunately the company decides to pay them back by canceling their shows after the first or second season, or before the pilot of their show even aired. (Reblog & comment for shows that should have a continuation, like Samurai Jack did ^^.)

They're doing this because of greed and believing it'll make their finances look better by minimizing and cutting their employees. The CEOs and executives are removing everything just for money.

(In my opinion these are my top that I think should have another season or continue the series in Adult Swim.)

(I mostly want them to bring back Infinity Train & make these 2 a mini series.)

Please reblog, ❤, and comment that they should stop rejecting exciting and interesting shows, and which animated series should have more seasons, a movie, a mini series, or a graphic novel & comic series.

Animator and Writer Looking For Your Help

This is extremely accurate. I have no idea how long I’ll be out of work currently and I meet with a lot of friends in the industry in the same place. The time between projects is becoming longer and I’m at a point where I do love animation and telling stories, but I want to stop being dependent on studios and networks for a living wage. It’s terrible to constantly not know how long you’ll be out of a job with no insurance.

I’m going to try to get more of my work out there (Not by pitching to studios, that rarely goes anywhere. Especially if it’s an original story). I want to try book publishing again. Novels and comics. In the past, my stories had great reviews, but I could never get the word out on them. I’m hoping you’ll help me drive my work to being my full time job. I want to focus only on my own characters and stories without needing to desperately look for the next studio project to get onto. My stuff doesn’t get a big reaction typically, though Doris went further than most with her fan made Discord (Which I really absolutely love!) To keep these ideas going and building more, I need your help.
