Fortress Omnilus:
5. I’ve shared her color palette once a while ago but I’ll add it here again just for visual sake’s purpose!
This is Impression Sunrise by Monet, and it’s where I got most of the inspiration for Omnilus’ colors from. The main ones would in this case be mainly light, soft blues with orange and a little bit of red for accent colors. I wanted to deviate from the commonality between militaristically minded characters having dark/“tactical” (army green, other similar shades) color palettes despite her role as well as alt mode. Colors and appearance go hand in hand especially with tf designs so it was important to me that Omnilus’ colors gave off kind of the opposite mood from her personality and conduct, kind of a balance it out scenario in a way. I also just think this is a really nice painting ha
7. She was forged! It’s a little weird how she’s fully “classified” (speaking in terms of my tf fan continuity) because of the nature of her frame and alt mode, but she was brought into existence via hotspot forging either way; her spark at least. Some of her body had to be constructed outside of regular development because she wasn’t developing the necessary armor required to fully surround her protoform, so some of her frame can be considered to be cold constructed
15. She’s quite tall, heavy-set, and has a boxy sort of body. To compare, she’s maybe at shoulder height of Cybertronians cargo/transport shuttle alt modes (which is notable because they’re the largest a Cybertronian can be until delving into classes that include characters such as Leviathan and Nemesis as well as Titans). Much of her plating is a dusty shade of light blue with some orange and red accents in various spots such as headlights and other biolights across her frame. Her most unique feature is the curved “horns” on her helm, which are most similar to a mouflon’s. Her helm, hands, pedes, and some other small areas on her body are a dark shade of grey, almost black.
25. I don’t think she would, unless you count the standard issue energy rifles/handguns to be that. She’s quite utilitarian and knows how to use a lot of weapons you’d find in a military environment (mainly guns and other similar weapons) but has no attachment to a specific make or model. She’ll use whatever’s at her disposal in the given moment.
34. Not particularly. At most she’s non-practicing, but really she’s never had an attachment to a belief system. She knows what’s in front of her, she knows she can feel it and it’s real, so there’s no point in speculating in the “what-ifs” of religion or a deity when there’s so much in front of you. But it wouldn’t be a lie to say that she had thought about Primus and the Afterspark a few times over the course of the war; after a large battle or a particularly rough debriefing, in which lives had been lost or she had been feeling lost herself, the notion had crossed her mind.
41. Pre-war, she had spent a lot of her life in the FACS (the Fortress Academy of Civil Service) alongside a small, select group of qualifying individuals trained in forms of leadership and political/military conduct. She was on the more military side, so much of her day was spent poring over theoretical tactical and strategy battle simulations, honing her critical thinking and problem solving skills. There was also arms training in which she learned to handle a variety of common weapons that are available in a military environment and the small amount of downtime between everything where she was often with Turmoil, either playing a strategy game for fun or Other Activities (wink wink nudge nudge etc.)
Mid-war was mostly quite similar but much more grounded in reality, concrete and impactful. She was more serious and stone-faced, always seemed focused wholly in whatever task she was involved in. She worried a lot more in the isolation of her habsuite. There was little downtime and Turmoil was on the other side of the war.
43. Not anywhere really, after the war. She saw some places when moving between stations during the war, but once Cybertron was slowly being repopulated, it was evident that much of its natural beauty had been destroyed at the expense of conflict. It was pitiful in a way; sad, not worth it any longer at that point. I think sight-seeing was a buried dream of her’s in her younger years but it had faded away over time.
Ripchain:
11. PLENTY. He’s a known sleazebag and general asshole, a shoddy businessman with some very useful connections. He used to be someone akin to a landlord pre-war, and after a lot of those contracts had been abandoned, he put all his shanix into resource allocation and trading; metals for weapons, energon, vital things of that nature. He used to be directly involved in weapons alongside Swindle, but he eventually left him for a better opportunity with another group, taking a lot of business and money with him.
15. Wide and boxy. His alt mode is an emerald green van, so there’s not a lot of variation in the kind of shapes he’s hade of. Little bit of silver accents here and there. He’s pretty average as far as Cybertronians go, but he is almost always seen with a cigar. I haven’t thought about his appearance too hard, but here’s his alt mode for fun
21. Definitely. He’s been on the bad end of a deal many a time and can be pretty cutthroat when it comes to payback, but he largely won’t get his own hands dirty if he doesn’t have to. Call in a favor here or there and usually it’s done for him. His criminal record does, however, include a number of charges of assault and a few attempted homicides 👍
15.
Voltaero: I’m afraid I have not thought about his appearance at all. Orange maybe
Alipex: (see photo) taller than Hesper, mostly elongated rectangular shapes, very segmented. The tails of her alt mode turns into hip armor in root mode and most of her legs are hidden away. The legs that are left out just act as seam protectors across her body, wrapping around her armor. One specific note I have is that the antennae on her head are still on her head in root mode and curl against her helm. Colors are pretty much the same as the photo, mainly a murky black-brown with yellow and magenta. Orange optics
Hesper: short ish and particularly light, not a lot of mass. Lower wings become leg armor and upper wings are the arms, chest, and some of her back. The eyes of her alt mode are goggles in root mode, antennae also curl up on her helm in root but are looser and more expressive than Alipex’s are. Not really any of the blues and greens show up in root, so she looks mostly that greyish brown with a little bit of green in small spots.
Alipex and Hesper use their antennae to non-verbally communicate and yes it looks as strange as you may be imagining and it is because they’re my weird little bugs. And they’re wives. Bug wives
Thank you for the ask :)
