RIP Ohio Players founder Walter 'Junie' Morrison #ripjuniemorrison
Another funk legend from my childhood is now moved on. Funkadelic member and Ohio Players founder, Walter "Junie" Morrison has moved just a few hours ago. As a young whipper snapper in Wichita Falls, Texas, I remember listening to K104 radio in Dallas on Saturdays with DJs Ushay and Dr. Rock. This was the roller skating time in the 80s and the first time I heard the jam "Stick It In", I lost my mind not just because of the funky ass groove but the clever way he used the lyrics.
