"How do you feel?" Honestly, I've run out of ways to describe how @themaineband has continued to make me feel, in both good and bad times. Last night was the end of the lovely little lonely era, and while I'm sad to say goodbye to my favorite album of last year and one of the most important albums of my life so far, I'm thankful for all of the memories, comfortable and uncomfortable, that it has been the soundtrack for. Last night's set list included some of my favorite older and newer Maine songs, including Right Girl and Like We Did, and gave me yet another chance to scream and sing and let out all of the good and bad feelings that have been pushed down. (It was especially cathartic screaming along to Misery with everyone.) Thank you to this band for continuing to stay true to themselves and the music and for everything they've given me in the last year and beyond. I'll never forget traveling four hours to dress in all red for an album's funeral. Especially not this one.
