Today marked PRISTIN’s official disbandment after 2 years of silence following their WE LIKE comeback, amid poor handling of KNETZ’s (Korean netizens) rude comments toward Kyla, resulting in her hiatus and then subunit PRISTIN V debuting with critic acclaim. PLEDIS didn’t even tell us until giving the article to some news source.
PRISTIN was a 10-member South Korean girl group that won 3 ROTY (Rookie of the Year) awards their debut year of 2016.
PRISTIN was followed closely by the public due to interest caused by members from the previously-disbanded group I.O.I: Nayoung and Jieqiong (Kyulkyung). Fellow Twitter users and myself helped trend #Findthelost400daysofPristin, now #ThankyouPRISTIN and other hashtags to raise awareness of PLEDIS’ garbage treatment of the group. And I knew something like this might happen, but it still hurts to have it confirmed (without even an official statement behalf of PLEDIS or any acknowledgement of HIghs plight to be heard). The radio silence PLEDIS has shown is more than obvious that they have no desire to properly manage girl artists of ANY KIND. I’m glad they’re [ APPARENTLY ] not searching for girl auditions in their casting call this go around. This affects more than just fans of PRISTIN, but also future potential idols and anyone with a conscience considering supporting or defending this company’s faults. PLEDIS DOES NOT CARE FOR THEIR ARTISTS. Even fans of Seventeen and NU’EST know that the boys manage and promote themselves better than their shit company consumed with greed. Of course, all companies have bad sides but let me over-emphasize:
⛔ PLEDIS IS NOT A COMPANY YOU WANT TO JOIN. ⛔
