We experienced a major loss on the home front as our dog Saint passed away on Tuesday morning. Saint made himself right at home for five years. Saint allowed Rena and I to talk about where we met (Georgetown) and one of our favorite places (New Orleans). Saint like many pets offered so much for so little in return. He wanted some of your attention, some of your affection, and he would not mind having some of your cold bottled water. Tough and territorial Saint had some rough edges that confirmed our relationship was equal parts give and take. The last few days our home has not been the same; I doubt it ever will be. Still I’m grateful for all of the time we had with Saint.
