CYNIC's longtime bassist Sean Malone has passed away. He was 50 years old. No cause of death has yet been revealed. The news of Malone's passing was broken by his CYNIC bandmate, guitarist/vocalis...
We also lost a legend of a different type. I think I probably get one or another of his bass lines stuck in my head at least once a week--a condition that goes back all the way to that first album.

September 10th is National Suicidal Awareness Day. Today I wore the color purple in honor of this day, as well as to support #alwayskeepfighting campaign. Tomorrow I know will be a very rough day for many of us. As it hits the one year since our Beloved Sean Prchal took his own life. Guys..depression is so very real and takes way too many lives! Sean was the first experience I had with suicide from depression, but depression has been around me and in me for many years! It's not a fun place to be, and it is very well hidden! But know, though it's hard, it all happened for a reason. When your in this deep pit, you're not really thinking of anybody else but yourself and that pain you feel! Like I said I've been there! It's not easy. Prayer and peace to everyone as we head into our next 48 hours of remembering and maybe crying! The same support group we had a year ago, is the same support group we have now! And don't forget that someone may be having more trouble on the inside than they are letting show on the outside! #RIPSEAN #alwayskeepfighting #seeyoutomorow
