It's impossible for anyone to prepare you for what it feels like to lose a friend. This September would have been 20 years since Taleasha and I became friends, back when we were in kindergarten. We grew up together, best friends and sometimes each other's only confidante. Countless sleepovers and birthday parties(like the one where she accidentally got left behind while using our bathroom when we went to the children's museum), and days of just running around the neighborhood and hanging out at each other's places. I have so many stories and so many memories of the time we spent together and I still can't believe it been a whole year since she left us. Taleasha is the kind of person who will never be forgotten, not by her family or friends or anyone who knew her. As much as I miss her I'm so grateful to have had her in my life and I know there won't be a day that passes when I don't think about her and miss her.
